2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver

With the 2010 Winter Olympics coming to Vancouver it has to have Bellingham business owners awful excited. Open Ceremonies begin on Feburary 12th 2010 with 10,000 media representitives, 1.8 million tickets being sold thoughout the Olympics and 175,000 expected to pass through the Blaine border already one of North Americas busiest borders it's going to make a pretty big impact on Bellingham. Border improvements are part of the 71 million dollar package Bellingham is hoping to recieve to help prepare for the Olympics. Since it's the Winter Olympics most events will be taking place at Whistler and Blackcomb they are very likely to discover Mt. Baker and its surrounding areas. I can only imagine businesses will set record numbers during this time period. I don't know about you but I am looking forward to see all the people in our town, I will be even happier to see them all leave.
